LiquidSoulRadio.com Expands Programming From The Internet, To Satellite, With The Launch of Syndicated Program on XM Radio Channel 61, The Flow

ATLANTA- (BUSINESS/ENTERTAINMENT/HIGH-TECH) — November 22, 2002 LiquidSoulRadio.com, LLC has teamed up with The Flow, XM Channel 61 to bring Liquid Soul Elements. Liquid Soul Elements is a 4-hour syndicated program hosted by LiquidSoulRadio.com's DJ Vince Adams that explores the foundations of Neo Soul and the progression of Future Soul.

The relationship between the two entities began in September of 2002, soon after the relaunch of LiquidSoulRadio.com's popular website and internet music service. "The relationship with XM was truly driven by our listeners," explains LiquidSoulRadio.com CEO, Tirrell Whittley. "Our listeners would email us asking why we're not broadcasting on XM Radio, in addition to contacting XM Radio requesting to hear LiquidSoulRadio.com programming."

XM Radio ultimately responded to the inquiries and requested that the internet broadcaster submit a 2-hour pilot for consideration for XM Radio's Neo Soul channel, The Flow. "We were familiar with LiquidSoulRadio.com and knew the company had the ability to stream creative programming via the internet," explains Traci LaTrelle, Programming Director for The Flow. "We had been actively looking to diversify the programming of our channel and wanted to see if LiquidSoulRadio.com had the ability to transform that same creativity displayed via their internet broadcast, into a syndicated show."

Definitely up to the challenge, LiquidSoulRadio.com COO and Programming Director, Nick Nelson, wasted no time developing the concept for the show and assembling the necessary individuals to make it a success. "We were very excited about the opportunity, " says Nelson. "Having our programming air on The Flow just made sense because of our strong ties to the Urban Alternative format comprised of Neo Soul, Future Soul, Conscience Hip-Hop and Spoken Word." The end result is Liquid Soul Elements, a 4-hour exploration into all of the elements that make up the Neo Soul genre, hosted by DJ Vince Adams.

DJ Vince Adams is a popular DJ in the Chicago area and has appeared on BET's Planet Groove, served as resident DJ for The Doug Banks Show, and more recently was inducted into the world's largest and most exclusive DJ organization, The TECHNICIANS. "I jumped on the opportunity to host Liquid Soul Elements," explained Adams. "I primarily spin Hip-Hop and R&B, however I spend a lot of my non-DJ time listening to jazz, old school R&B, acid jazz and underground house, i.e. things that are far removed from the Top 40 charts. Liquid Soul Elements allows me to not only promote but to educate the public about the music that I love."

Liquid Soul Elements is advertised an educational experience, that unlike most shows, not only provides the audience with the artist and song title, but historical facts that educate as well as entertain. "Our audience is intelligent, and we wanted to provide a show that was not only musically stimulating, but intellectually thought-provoking as well," explains Nelson. "We are very excited about this opportunity to team up with XM Radio, and look forward to assisting XM meet it's commitment to providing musical programming, unlike anything heard on terrestrial radio today."
